How Do You Say I Want to... in Mandarin Chinese?

Hello, everyone! In today's Chinese lesson we are learning an important phrase.

The way to bring your Mandarin level from a beginner to an intermediate learner is to be able to grasp some of the common verbs used in daily life. Here is the Chinese verb we are going to learn today,

Yào(要)    want/demand

For example,

  1. Wǒ yào yì bēi chá.

I want a cup of tea.

  1. Wǒ yào mǎi yì bēi pǐ jǐu. I want to buy a glass of beer.
