Easy Chinese Characters - 吃(chī)

Hi, there,

“吃” (chī) EAT is composed of two parts with one for meaning and the other for pronunciation. A man( 人) opening his mouth (口) to EAT (乙 looks like a Peking duck) 吃 is how the character for “eat” derived. “肉” (ròu) means “meat” so “吃肉” is “to eat meat”.
