What is IBMYP Chinese?
The IB Middle Years Program (MYP) Chinese is for students aged 11–16. It has two pathways:
- MYP Language & Literature (near-native / first language) – literary analysis, critical writing, advanced communication.
- MYP Language Acquisition (second/foreign language) – listening, speaking, reading, writing for real-life contexts.
Both pathways prepare students for IBDP Chinese A (SL/HL) or Chinese B (SL/HL). Official MYP assessments focus on four criteria: Analyzing, Organizing, Producing Text, and Using Language.
