1. Class scheduling
Tuition will be provided at the dates, times and location as specified in the class schedule for Group Courses, or as agreed between the student and the teacher for Private Courses. Students who are late or miss class cannot claim extra time in lieu of any missed class time.
Class may be cancelled or rescheduled due to severe weather conditions or other unforeseeable causes. In such cases, the student(s) will be notified via email or telephone. If students are not able to show up in class for their own reasons, 24-hour prior notice must be given in order to cancel or reschedule classes.
For Group Class, rescheduling must be agreed by all participants and the class teacher. Cancellation within 24 hours will not be accepted and the cancelled class hours will be seen as having been used.
2. 'Make-up' class
If a student cannot attend a scheduled group class she or he can take a 'make-up' class at his or her own expense. For every two-hour group class missed, one hour private 'make-up' tuition will be given, unless the student requests more.
'Make-up' classes will be conducted in the training centre of New Concept Mandarin Ltd.
3. Instructor
New Concept Mandarin will provide one instructor per class for Regular and Private Courses. Two or more instructors will be provided in turn for Intensive Courses, depending on the scheduling details of the courses.
4. Tuition fees
100% of total course fees must be paid on or before the starting date of the class. Tuition fees can be paid with cash, cheque, or via bank transfer. Course fees paid are not refundable.
5. Waiver
New Concept Mandarin Limited does not guarantee that the client will achieve any level of language proficiency upon completion of the course. The client hereby waives any right to claim for reimbursement of any tuition payable to "New Concept Mandarin Ltd."
New Concept Mandarin shall only be obligated to provide tuition at the dates, times and location agreed with the client under this Policy.
6. Class Scheduling
New Concept Mandarin reserves the right to make necessary changes regarding class schedules etc that are considered to be necessary without prior consultation. New Concept Mandarin also reserves the right to cancel a course if there is insufficient number of enrolments. All enrolled students affected will be given notice of any such changes.
7. New Concept Mandarin Limited reserves the right to change the above policies without prior notice.
